
For nearly 20 years, I’ve worked in early childhood education—as a teacher, program director, consultant, and mentor. No matter the role, one thing always stood out: I had a knack for organization. I became the “systems person,” the one colleagues turned to when things felt messy, overwhelming, or inefficient. And honestly? I loved it.
Time and again, I saw brilliant directors and passionate preschool owners spending more energy on paperwork, juggling clunky software, and reinventing the wheel than on leading their programs.
The tools that existed for ECE? They were either too expensive, too generic, or still left directors with gaps. Instead of simplifying, they often added more stress. And for programs trying to scale, nothing truly fit.
